Having it built

If you would rather not do it yourself.

This is the same list our quote builder prices from, so a quote will match what this page says. The full breakdown is on the built-for-you page.

What most people actually pay

A website, a domain and an inbox is about £31 a month.

£24.99 for the website, £12.99 a year for a .co.uk, and £36 a year for a mailbox. That is £28.99 a month with the yearly bits spread out, on one invoice, with nothing else to buy. Add a phone number and it is £48.98.

  • Website, £24.99 a month
  • Domain, about £1.08 a month
  • Mailbox, £3 a month
  • Phone number, from £19.99 a month
How we compare

Worth knowing

Two things about the way this is priced.

Both are deliberate, and both cost us something, so they are worth explaining rather than just asserting.

There is no free tier and no trial

You can build a whole site for nothing and take as long as you like over it. What you pay for is publishing it on your own domain. Nothing expires, nothing counts down and nothing converts into a plan you did not choose.

Domains, mailboxes and numbers are different: they are bought and they are live from the moment they are paid for, because they cost real money to run from day one.

One website price rather than a ladder

Most platforms put the useful things a rung or two up: the shop here, the blog there, forms on the tier above. We would rather sell one thing that works.

If you sell at a scale where a full basket, live stock counts and abandoned-basket emails are essential, tell us before you sign up. That is a different kind of product and we will say so honestly.

Questions

The things people ask us.

Including the ones about leaving, because a page that will not answer those is hiding something.

Is there a free trial?

No, and nothing on your account counts down. You build for nothing, for as long as you like, and you pay when you publish it on your own domain. Nothing converts to a paid plan behind your back.

What exactly do I get for £24.99 a month?

The website live on your own domain, with unlimited pages, HTTPS, hosting, backups, a CDN, forms to your inbox, SEO fields, a sitemap, analytics, a blog and a shop if you want them, and UK support. It is the same for everybody.

Is the yearly price a contract?

No. It is a discount for paying up front. A year is 20% off, which works out at nearly two and a half months free. Monthly has no minimum term at all.

When do you take the first payment?

When the site goes live on your domain, not before. Building costs nothing and there is no card needed to start.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at the end of any month, in the portal. The site comes down, your domain stays yours, and we will help you export your content.

What happens to my domain if I cancel the website?

Nothing. It is billed separately and registered in your name. Renew it, point it somewhere else, or transfer it out.

Do you take a percentage of what I sell?

No. The shop’s buy button points at your own payment link, so payments go from your customer to you and never pass through us.

Are these prices with VAT?

There is no VAT on them. Blinki Limited is not registered for VAT, so what you see is what you pay and there is none to reclaim.

Do I need to buy the domain from you?

No. Point one you already own at us and it works. Buying it here from £12.99 a year means it is connected automatically and lands on the same bill.

Can I add and remove things month to month?

Yes. Mailboxes and phone plans go on and off month by month. Domains are yearly because that is how domain registration works.

Will the price go up?

If it ever does, you will be told before it happens, not after. What we will not do is quote you one number and renew you at another; that is the practice this whole page is written against.

What if I only want a domain and an inbox?

That is fine and plenty of people do exactly that. £12.99 a year and £36 a year, with no website at all.

Is support extra?

No. There is no premium support tier. Everybody gets the same UK support, Monday to Friday.

Do you charge for going over on bandwidth or minutes?

Never on bandwidth. On phone minutes, outbound calling stops when you reach your allowance rather than billing you for the overage, so nobody gets a surprise invoice.

Every bit on one bill.

One login holds the website, the domain, the inbox and the number, and one invoice covers the lot.
