Search it, buy it, and it points at your website and your inbox on its own. No DNS records to copy out and nobody to wait on.
Endings are sold to registrars at a promotional rate for the first year and a real one after that. Most sites show you the promotion in big type and the renewal in a footnote. Both are in the same table here.
| Ending | First year | Renews at | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| .co.uk | £12.99 | £12.99 | The default for a British business. Same price to renew. |
| .uk | £12.99 | £12.99 | Shorter, and worth holding alongside your .co.uk. |
| .org.uk | £11.99 | £11.99 | For a club, a charity or a community trade. |
| .com | £14.99 | £17.99 | First year is a registry promotion. £17.99 every year after. |
| .net | £17.99 | £17.99 | Flat. No first-year trick. |
| .org | £17.99 | £17.99 | Flat. |
| .info | £6.99 | £39.99 | Cheap first year, then the real price. Worth knowing before you buy. |
| .online | £6.99 | £39.99 | Same shape as .info. The registry sets both numbers, not us. |
| .site | £5.99 | £29.99 | Cheap to start, dearer to keep. |
| .store | £9.99 | £49.99 | Popular for shops. Check the renewal before you commit. |
| .shop | £28.99 | £50.99 | The other shop ending. |
| .app | £19.99 | £23.99 | HTTPS is enforced on .app by the registry. |
| .dev | £19.99 | £19.99 | Flat. |
| .io | £49.99 | £78.99 | Expensive to hold. Buy it knowing that. |
| .studio | £39.99 | £54.99 | Salons, design studios, photographers. |
| .me | £21.99 | £21.99 | Flat. |
| .tv | £39.99 | £39.99 | Flat. |
No VAT is charged. Prices cover one year. Premium names carry a price set by the registry rather than by us; if the one you search for is premium, the portal shows you that price before you commit to anything.
None of this is an upsell on a second screen. It is what a domain does when you buy one on a Blinki account.
The dull bit in the middle, where most people give up, is the bit we do.
Type the name. We check every ending at once and show you the first-year and the renewal price side by side.
It goes on your Blinki account with everything else. No separate registrar login to keep track of.
The records that point it at your site and your mailboxes are written for you. There is nothing to copy out.
Reminders at 30, 14 and 7 days, and auto-renew on unless you turn it off.
The website, the inbox and the phone number all hang off the same address. Buy the domain on your Blinki account and the wiring is done before you have gone back to the dashboard.
Two ways to do this, and which one you want depends on whether you would rather keep the registrar you are with.
Change the nameservers where you bought it. It keeps living there, but it serves your Blinki site. Takes minutes and costs nothing.
Take the transfer lock off, get the authorisation code, and hand both to us. For most endings the transfer adds a year to the registration.
Your site and your email keep working through the move. We copy the records across before the switch, not after.
Send us the login or the auth code and UK support does the moving parts. No charge for that either.
None of this is a criticism of any particular registrar. It is a description of what a domain bought on its own tends to cost you in attention.

Neither is our doing, but both cost people money, so they are better said out loud.
A .com is £14.99 for the first year and £17.99 after. A .site is £5.99 and then £29.99. That jump is set by the organisation that runs the ending, not by the registrar selling it to you.
It is fine to take the cheap first year. It is not fine to be surprised by the second one, which is why both numbers are in the table above rather than in a footnote.
Buying a name gets you the address. It does not get you anything at the address. That is what the £24.99 a month covers, and you can build the site for nothing before you decide.
The other way round works too: plenty of people buy the name years before they build anything, just so nobody else has it.
Including the ones about leaving, because a page that will not answer those is hiding something.
£12.99 for a year, and £12.99 every year after that. Nothing goes up on the second year. The full list of endings and their renewal prices is in the table above.
On .co.uk, .uk, .org.uk, .net, .org, .dev, .me and .tv, no. What you pay the first year is what you pay every year.
On .com, .info, .online, .site, .store, .shop, .app, .io and .studio, yes, because those registries sell the first year at a promotional rate. Both numbers are shown in the price table so you can decide with the real figure in front of you.
You are the registrant, which is the legal holder. Blinki is the registrar that manages it for you. Your name is on the record, not ours, and that does not change if you stop paying us for anything else.
Yes, whenever you like, and there is no fee for it. Take the transfer lock off in the portal and we give you the authorisation code. For a .uk name it is a change of IPS tag instead, which is the same thing by a different name.
A .co.uk or .uk is usually usable within minutes of payment. Endings like .com go through a different registry and can take a couple of hours to be visible everywhere. Nothing needs doing by you while that happens.
No. Buy the domain on your Blinki account and the records that point it at your website, your mailboxes and your HTTPS certificate are written for you. If you would rather do it yourself, the full record editor is there.
Yes. Either change the nameservers where you bought it so it points at us, or transfer the whole registration across. Both are free, and support will do either for you if you would rather not.
Nothing on top. For most endings a transfer includes a year of registration, so you pay that year at the price in the table and the year is added to what you already have. Nothing is lost in the move.
On .com, .net, .org and the other gTLDs, free WhoisGuard privacy is applied, so your details are not in the public record. On .uk names, Nominet lets an individual not trading as a business opt their address out of the public register.
We email at 30 days, 14 days and 7 days before it is due, once each, and auto-renew is on unless you turn it off. If a renewal does fail, get in touch quickly. Once a name goes past its registry grace period it can be bought by anybody, and that is not something we can undo.
Yes, as many as you like, all on the same login and the same invoice. Plenty of businesses hold the .co.uk and the .com and point both at the same site so nobody can sit on the other one.
No. The domain is billed separately from the website. Cancel the site and the name is still yours to renew, point elsewhere, or transfer out.
We can register them, but a premium name carries a price set by the registry that can run to hundreds or thousands of pounds. If the name you search for is premium, the portal shows you the real price before you commit to anything.
Yes. Mailboxes on your own name start at £3 a month, and the records that stop them going to spam are set up for you. See the business inbox page for what is in each plan.
Your website, your inbox and your number all sit behind the same name, on one login and one bill.
