Already have a site somewhere else? Send us the address and we will rebuild it on Blinki, keep every page and every web address, move your email with it, and switch it over when you say so.
Free. You only start paying once it is live with us.The order matters here. Everything is built and checked before anything is switched, which is why there is no gap in the middle.
Just the web address you are on now. We look at every page ourselves rather than asking you to list them.
Matched to how it looks now unless you have asked us to change something. Every page, not just the homepage.
A real, working version at a temporary address. Click through it, show it to someone, tell us what is wrong.
The domain is pointed at the new site and the old one is retired. Usually a few minutes, in the evening if you would rather.
The platform you are leaving changes how much of the work is automatic, not whether it can be done.
If something you rely on is not in this list, ask before you commit rather than after. We will tell you straight whether it moves.
Rankings are attached to web addresses. Keep the addresses and you keep the rankings, which is why every page here keeps the address it has now, and anything that genuinely has to change gets a permanent redirect from the old one. That is the whole trick, and it is the bit a rushed move gets wrong.
These are the ranges we actually see. The variable is nearly always how big the site is and how quickly you can look at the preview.
| Kind of site | Rebuilt in | Switched over in | What slows it down |
|---|---|---|---|
| A five-page site | A few days | Minutes, when you say | Waiting for you to look at the preview. |
| A site with a blog | About a week | Minutes | How many posts there are and how they were structured. |
| A site with a shop | A week or two | Minutes | Product count, variants, and where the payments run through. |
| A site you cannot get into | Depends | Minutes | Getting control of the domain back, which is the real job. |
We do not charge for any of this, so there is no clock running while you decide.
There is no catch in here, but it is fair to ask what the catch is, so here is the whole arrangement.
We rebuild the site, keep the addresses, move the domain and move the mailboxes, and none of that is charged for. You pay nothing until the new site is live and you have said you are happy with it.
That is not charity. It is cheaper for us to move you properly than to have you leave in three months because something broke.
The same price everybody pays to keep a site live on their own domain, or £239.88 for the year. Mailboxes from £3 a month each and the domain from £12.99 a year, all on one invoice.
No contract and no minimum term. If it turns out you preferred where you were, you can take the domain and go, and we will not make that difficult.
Plenty of people do move a site themselves. This is the honest list of what that involves.
| With us | Doing it yourself | |
|---|---|---|
| Rebuilding every page | We do it | Your evenings |
| Keeping every web address | Possible, if you are careful | |
| Redirects for anything that changes | Easy to forget | |
| Moving the mailboxes without losing mail | The part that usually goes wrong | |
| Mail records set so you are not marked as spam | ||
| A preview to check before anything switches | Rarely | |
| What it costs | Nothing | Nothing, plus the risk |
Including the ones about leaving, because a page that will not answer those is hiding something.
Yes. We rebuild the site, move the domain and move the mailboxes at no charge. You start paying the ordinary £24.99 a month only once the new site is live and you have said you are happy.
Not if it is done properly. Rankings are attached to web addresses, so every page keeps the address it has now. Where an address genuinely has to change, the old one permanently redirects to the new one, which passes the ranking across.
We also carry over your page titles and descriptions and submit a fresh sitemap on the day of the switch.
No. The new site is built and checked at a temporary address while your current one carries on serving. The switch itself takes minutes and we will do it in the evening if you would rather.
It comes too. We move the mailboxes and the messages in them, and we set the records that keep your mail out of spam folders. Mail is moved before delivery is switched, so nothing lands in a gap.
Usually yes for the site itself, because we can rebuild what is publicly visible. The domain is the harder half: if it is registered to somebody who has left, that needs sorting before anything can be pointed anywhere. Talk to us early if that is your situation.
Yes, including the posts, with their dates and their addresses. What does not come across is any plugin doing something unusual; tell us what the site depends on and we will say honestly whether it survives the move.
Yes. Products become real pages on your own site. What matters is how many products you have and whether they have variants, so mention that when you get in touch.
It will match what you have now unless you ask us to change it. Some people want an exact copy and some want the move used as an excuse to fix the design; both are fine and neither costs more.
A five-page site is usually a few days. A blog is about a week. A shop is a week or two. The switch itself takes minutes whenever you decide you are ready.
Then nothing happens. Your existing site is untouched until you say switch, so stopping costs you nothing and you owe us nothing.
No. You can leave it where it is and simply point it at us, which takes minutes. Moving it across is free and puts it on the same bill, but it is your call.
It stays exactly where it is until you cancel it, which we would suggest doing only after the new one has been live for a couple of weeks. Do not cancel your old hosting the day before you move.
Yes, and there is a quicker route for that: connect Blinki to the tool you built in and publish straight to us. See the websites page for how that works.
Send us the address you are on now and we will tell you exactly what moving it involves, before you commit to anything.
